What is Clipfold?
Clipfold is a screen recorder for async work. You record your screen, with your camera and voice if you want, and get a share link the moment you stop. The same recording can then become a clickable demo or an onboarding page without recording again.
Is Clipfold a Loom alternative?
Yes. It covers what most people use Loom for: quick recordings, an instant link, a transcript, comments and reactions pinned to moments, and a list of who watched. The difference is that one recording can turn into other outputs, and you pay once for the whole team instead of per seat.
How does pricing work?
There are no seats, and every plan has unlimited members and viewers. Drifter is free: 125 minutes of recordings kept, any number of videos, 720p and downloads. Surfer is $19.99 a month for the whole workspace: 1080p, 10 recording hours a month, AI features and a list of who watched. Nightwatch is $59 a month: up to 4K, 40 recording hours a month, your own branding, an email gate, click stats and password links. Credits pay for extras like clickable demos, onboarding pages, AI voice and extra hours. Join the waitlist to lock in a founding price: $14.99 for Surfer and $44 for Nightwatch, for life, if you start a paid plan within 30 days of launch.
Do I need a camera or a microphone?
No. Only screen access is required. Camera and microphone are both optional, and you can test each one before you start recording.
Can I try it without an account?
Yes. You can record up to 5 minutes without signing up and watch it back in the same browser. To share, download or keep a recording longer than 7 days, you create an account.
When does early access open?
We are building it now. Everyone on the waitlist gets one email when early access opens, before it is public.
What do you do with my email?
We use it only to tell you about early access. We never sell or share it. Email us and we will delete it.
