Loom plans and prices at a glance
These are the prices on Loom’s pricing page in October 2026. Loom shows monthly prices per user and says annual billing saves up to 17%. Atlassian’s pricing page adds that monthly plans are billed on your exact user count, while annual plans are billed at the user tier closest to your count.
| Plan | Monthly price | Videos | Recording length | Quality | Downloads |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Free | 25 per person | 5 minutes | Up to 720p | No |
| Business | $18 per user | Unlimited | Unlimited | Up to 4K | Yes |
| Business + AI | $24 per user | Unlimited | Unlimited | Up to 4K | Yes |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | Not listed | Unlimited | Not listed | Yes, admins can turn off |
What each Loom plan includes
- Starter (free): 25 videos per person, 5-minute recordings, unlimited meeting recording length, transcriptions in 50+ languages, comments and reactions, unlimited screenshots and one all-company space. Details are in Is Loom free?.
- Business ($18 per user a month): unlimited videos and recording time, up to 4K, upload and download, basic waveform editing, no Loom branding on video pages and embeds, request email to view, unlimited members and three extra spaces.
- Business + AI ($24 per user a month): everything in Business plus AI titles, summaries and chapters, filler word and silence removal, automatic meeting notes and recaps, video-to-text documents, video variables and admin insights.
- Enterprise (custom): SSO and SCIM with Atlassian Guard Standard included, advanced content privacy, custom data retention, a Salesforce integration and a 99.95% uptime SLA. Atlassian lists it as annual only.
Loom AI pricing
Loom does not sell AI as a separate add-on on its pricing page. You get it by choosing Business + AI, which costs $6 more per user a month than Business at monthly prices. AI workflows, such as turning a video into an SOP, a step-by-step guide or a Jira bug report, need Business + AI or Enterprise with AI turned on.
The 14-day free trial is of Business + AI, so new workspaces can try the AI features before paying. If no card is on file when the trial ends, the workspace drops to Starter.
Loom’s billing policy says the price depends on how many paid members, meaning Creators and Admins, you upgrade. Members with the Creator Lite role are free. Creator Lite is useful for people who mostly watch, but Loom’s help center says Creator Lite users cannot download videos on any plan.
What Loom costs as your team grows
This table assumes every person records and needs a paid Creator seat, at the monthly prices on loom.com. Annual billing would cut these by up to 17%.
| People recording | Business ($18) | Business + AI ($24) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $18 a month | $24 a month |
| 3 | $54 a month | $72 a month |
| 10 | $180 a month | $240 a month |
| 25 | $450 a month | $600 a month |
Over a year, a 10-person team on Business + AI pays $2,880 at monthly prices. A 25-person team pays $7,200.
How Loom billing works: monthly vs annual
- Monthly plans are billed on your exact number of paid users. You can pay by card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express) or PayPal.
- Annual plans bought through Atlassian are billed at the user tier closest to your count, so adding one person can move you into the next tier. You can pay by card, bank transfer or check.
- Refunds: Atlassian’s pricing page says monthly plans can be refunded within the first paid month after the trial, and annual plans within 30 days of payment.
- Enterprise is sold on annual terms only, through sales.
How to lower your Loom bill
- Give people who mostly watch the free Creator Lite role instead of a paid Creator seat. Remember they cannot download.
- Choose Business instead of Business + AI if nobody needs summaries, chapters or filler word removal. That saves $6 per person a month at monthly prices.
- Pay annually once your team size is stable, for up to 17% off.
- Ask about the education or nonprofit discounts below if you qualify.
- Review paid seats every quarter and move inactive recorders to Creator Lite.
Loom education and nonprofit pricing
- Education: the old free education plan is closed to new applicants. Verified teachers, professors and students (16 or older) at accredited schools get up to 50% off for general academic use and up to 75% off for classroom use. You apply with your school email, and verification is done by Goodstack. Verified accounts get unlimited recording length and HD recording; AI features need Business + AI.
- Nonprofits: Atlassian says Loom is available at 75% off for eligible nonprofits. The Atlassian pricing page also lists a nonprofit discount but no exact price.
Per-seat vs per-workspace pricing
Loom prices each recorder. Some tools price the whole workspace instead, so adding people does not change the bill; you pay for recording hours or features. That model suits teams where many people record a little.
Clipfold, the recorder we are building, works this way. It is launching soon, so these are planned prices: Drifter is a free plan with 125 minutes kept at 720p and downloads included. Surfer is $19.99 a month per workspace with 1080p, 10 recording hours a month and AI titles, summaries and chapters. Nightwatch is $59 a month with up to 4K and 40 hours a month. Members and viewers are unlimited on every plan.
| People recording | Loom Business + AI | Clipfold Surfer (planned) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $24 | $19.99 |
| 3 | $72 | $19.99 |
| 10 | $240 | $19.99 |
| 25 | $600 | $19.99 |
The plans are not identical. Loom Business + AI has unlimited recording time; Surfer includes 10 recording hours a month for the workspace, and credits pay for extras. If your team records many hours each month, compare on hours as well as people. For other options, see our list of Loom alternatives.
